Also known as dental veneers, porcelain veneers are ceramic dental restorations made extremely thin and bonded over the front of the smile. These thin facings are custom-made to match the color, shape, and size of the existing teeth to allow patients the opportunity to have dental work done without having it look as though it was! These restorations are incredibly discreet and allow patients to transform the smile quickly and easily with appropriate coverage.

How are porcelain veneers obtained?
First, patients undergo an evaluation with the dentist to determine if they are appropriate candidates for veneers. Veneers are best used on the anterior teeth, which are the teeth near the front of the smile. Then, patients book their preparation appointment. During this visit, the dentist will file down the front of the tooth before taking impressions and using these to create the final veneers. A temporary will be placed until the final veneer comes back from the laboratory. Patients come back into the office for the final bonding of the veneer in place.
